Success Truth #4: “We have to rescue ourselves”
You are a powerful creator. You CAN live your best life NOW.
I believe in you.
Often times, the only thing that is getting in our way of moving from where we are to where we are meant to be is ourselves.
There comes a time when we must be willing to become the hero or heroine in our own life story and rescue ourselves.
This requires taking action forward and a mindset shift from being the “Victim” of our circumstances to “Powerful Creator” of our best life. You are an every day hero or heroine.
You may already know this and this message is just a good reminder for you. If so, awesome! This message is a great reminder for me too. I still need to hear this from time to time.

We can have our hearts desires. (live our purpose, do work we love, have more than enough money, lose weight, a growing business, a happy relationship, raise great kids, travel, freedom, a dream home, be debt free, a best-selling book, whatever your dream life is for you.)
But no one is going to do it for us. We have to put on our red cape (which is
faith and perseverance) and go CREATE our best life
one small step at a time every day. I learned this early in life.
Here’s my story.

TRUE STORY
Where you start out has nothing to do with where you are destined to be!
I came from humble beginnings. I was a teen mom, high school drop out and getting government assistance (WIC). In 1995, I left an abusive relationship, got divorced and moved to Indianapolis with my two kids.
I had no money, no car, and just a few clothes. I was starting over.
By 1998, I had worked my way up to retail management. However, I still struggled financially. One day while driving home from work I was crying and praying because I didn’t have enough money left to buy groceries after I paid bills. I didn’t know what I was going to do.
I pulled up to my mobile home, got out of my car and I saw a big box sitting on my front porch. I thought the post man had delivered a package to the wrong home But there was no address on the box. I carefully opened the box and looked inside.
It was filled with FOOD!
I wondered who left the food and how did they know that I needed it TODAY! I witnessed a true miracle. I felt beyond grateful.
I walked inside and stood in my living room. A wave of emotion came over me. I shouted as loud as I could “NEVER AGAIN!” I WILL find a way and create a better life for me and my kids!”
Have you ever hit rock bottom and declared something MUST CHANGE in your life or your business? When the pain is great enough that’s when most people take action to change.
That’s the moment I made a decision to take take 100% responsibility for my success. I CHOSE TO BECOME THE HERO IN MY OWN LIFE STORY AND RESCUE MYSELF!
Later that week, I bought my first self help book called “Live Your Dreams by Les Brown. The authors story of overcome adversity and triumph ignited a fire inside me.
I went on to read 120+ books, I paid to learn from millionaire mentors, I attended business conferences and I switched careers.
I went from earning $9 per hour to generating $9 million dollars in sales in one year! And I bought my dream house in a beautiful neighborhood!
From there, I started my own business, launched my product and I’ve been seen by millions on TV worldwide. Now, I’m a writer, speaker and coach.
Back then, I never imaged all the amazing things in my future! I had to take my power back and create it. No one was going to rescue me, I had to rescue myself.
The same is true in every aspect of life, work or in business.
