Have you ever wondered why you do what you do? What is your true motivation behind your work? Your message? Your project? I have too. Here’s how I discovered my true motivation.
Early last year, I began to wonder why I do what I do.
I decided to seek divine guidance, so I prayed about it.
I said…
“God, why am I so obsessed with finding the truth about how success, happiness and money work? I’ve spent 20 years of my life and many hours every single day researching successful people, analyzing patterns, and blogging about it. I don’t get paid for this work. It’s starting to take a toll on my relationship with my spouse, my kids and my health. Why can’t I just stop all this and be like a normal person? What is my real motivation behind all this work? Why am I doing all this work?
I sat in silence for a few minutes. Suddenly, I heard a still small voice in my mind clearly say…
“So you can find the ANSWERS that you’ve been seeking your whole life and then teach it to others. It’s so other people won’t have to suffer as long as you did.”
As soon as I heard that, I was overwhelmed with emotion and I broke down in tears.
(Note: Whenever you hear something or see something and it triggers a high amount of emotion in you (positive or negative emotion) or you have a physical reaction like goose bumps, that is your soul recognizing truth on some level. Pay attention. It’s a clue to something you need to learn.)
I remembered how painful my life had been in my early years (and at times as a business owner).
My “pain” was the catalyst that drove me to research success. My “pain” turned into my passion. And passion comes from LOVE.
I realized I don’t like to see anyone struggle and if I know something that can help someone, I feel compelled to help. Have you ever felt this way?
My love for you and everyone else who subscribes to my blog is why I do what I do. I decided to put everything I’ve learned in my new e-book. It will be available soon.

Something to think about…
Why do you do what you do?
What is your true motivation?
Has your pain become your passion?
