You were born with unique talents as an asset to yourself and to serve others while you are alive on earth. No one else on earth can do what you do, as well as you can do it. Therefore, I believe it is your responsibility (and duty) to master those talents and use them for good in the world.
Skills are learned. However, you are naturally born with your talents.
For example, a professional basketball player’s talent may be that he/she has an “eye for judging distance”. This talent helps him/her to consistently make free throws easily and throw the ball perfectly to other players. This talent can be developed to genius level.
The skill an athlete learns is how to play the game, how to play in the position he/she was assigned, and technique.
Levels of talent: Raw Talent, Mastery level Talent, Genius, Flow.
Your raw talents are developed like a muscle. They get stronger with practice over time and you have the potential to reach mastery level. When you reach mastery level with your talent it becomes your Genius. Genius level is the place where you can reach a state called flow. Flow is a place where you have a direct connection with the divine and access to supernatural abilities and miracles are possible. Flow is possible for everyone if they choose it. I’ve seen many people in a flow state and I personally experience a state of flow often in my work. Maybe you’ve experienced flow. If not, it’s possible for you too.
Assignment:
You learn what your natural talent is by trying new things and then paying attention to those things that seem to naturally come easy for you and that you enjoy. Pay attention to how your weekly activities make you feel, ask close family and friends what they think your talents are. Write them down and start developing your talents.
For example, my husband has a natural ability and talent for calculating math in his head. I’m always amazed at how easy, fast and accurate he is with solving math problems. He also reads, writes and speaks two languages fluently. English and Russian. He picks up other languages easily too.
Next week, I’ll be sharing more about Flow. Stay Tuned!
Talk soon,
April
