Back when I first started my sales and marketing career, we were taught to “sell the benefits” of a product or service instead of “feature dumping”. That makes sense. Remember those days? But there is a much more effective way to market a product or service.
People have changed how they make buying decisions. Therefore, the old school tactic of leading with “benefits” alone is not the best approach to attract new customers or to build brand loyalty.
Instead, here’s what’s important to lead with…
An emotionally compelling, authentic STORY and useful, entertaining CONTENT. This is key to attracting new clients/customers. And that is the path to extraordinary sales growth and customer loyalty and an endless stream of referrals.
But you must execute a “full circle” marketing strategy to move from total stranger to loyal customer to an endless stream of referrals.
